Terms and Conditions

We welcome you to The Langlands Hotel and hope you enjoy your experience, please read, and agree to these terms and conditions as they will apply to the use of our online booking application. The Langlands Hotel will accept your reservation subject to the following terms and conditions.

The Langlands Hotel reserves the right to change, modify, add, or remove sections of this website and these terms and conditions at any time without notice or liability. If you are a regular user of our online booking application, we recommend that you check this website and these terms and conditions on a regular basis, as it is not the responsibility of The Langlands Hotel to inform you of any changes and any future reservations you make will be made subject to the terms and conditions which apply at the time a booking is made. 

Payment Policy

All reservations require a credit card guarantee at the time of booking (EFTPOS or Debit cards are not accepted as guarantees)

The final amount shown to you for payment will be shown in New Zealand Dollars. This will be the amount charged to your credit card on arrival or converted to your local currency by your credit card company when payment is due. The Langlands Hotel is not responsible for currency conversion and therefore any questions regarding currency conversion must be directed to your credit card company. 

A 1.5% credit card processing fee applies for all payments made by credit cards at the hotel. 

If you do not have a credit card available as guarantee at check in, you will be required to pay for extras as you go. Food and Beverages obtained from our outlets will not be charged back to your room. EFTPOS or Debit cards are not accepted as guarantees.  

If you request to settle your account by cash, Total accommodation amount will be charged on arrival and a security bond of $ 300 per night will be taken. 

In the event where the customer’s overdue account is referred to a collection agency and/or law firm, the customer will be liable for all costs which would be incurred as if the debt is collected in full, including commission on collection of the additional costs and including legal demand costs.

Cancellation, Booking Modifications and No-Show Policy

Full cancellation of one night’s accommodation rate will apply when accommodation is cancelled within 24 hours prior to arrival. No shows will automatically be charged back at the first night’s accommodation rate and automatically cancelled from our system. Rooms that have not been confirmed with a credit card number or a deposit are on 6.00pm release and can be entered back into our system for resale. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise or charge your credit card 24 hours prior to arrival. Non-valid credit cards may result in cancellation of the reservation or necessity to provide a bond on check in. 

Terms, Conditions and Privacy Policy

Any damage incurred to rooms or hotel facilities is the responsibility of the guest and associated parties. Any persons found damaging hotel property will be held financially liable and asked to leave the property. All guests must adhere to the rules and regulations of The Langlands Hotel.

Management reserves the right to refuse or grant admission.

There are situations where this clause is applied and some of those are listed below, where guests may be asked to leave the hotel without a refund.

• Guest who fail to provide an Identification document on request (Driving License, Passport, Voter ID Card etc.), may be denied entry to the room.

• No illegal activity can be carried out in a Hotel Room. If found, staff may report to the police or more likely evict a guest right away.

• Friends / visitors of the guests are not allowed to stay overnight in a hotel room with the guest. An additional room can be booked at reception.

Child Policy

All rooms are sold on a twin share basis unless otherwise stated. There will be extra charges applicable if the number of adults in the room exceeds two. Up to two children stay for free provided they are 10 years of age or under and are using existing bedding in the room. Cots are available free of charge for children under two years of age – please contact the hotel to confirm availability.

Check In Policy

Check in is from 2pm on the day of arrival. Early arrival is on a case-by-case basis, but we do not guarantee that your room will be available for your use prior to this time.

You will be required to provide a credit card at the time of check in as security for any extra charges you may incur while at the hotel. If you do not have a credit card available at check in, then you will be required to pay for extras as you go. Food and Beverages obtained from our outlets will not be charges back to your room. 

The person registering at Check In must be a minimum 18 years of age and at least one adult of 18 years or older staying in booked accommodation room(s).

 

Check Out Policy

Check out is 10am on the day of departure. Requests may be made at the time of check in for an extension to this time and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The hotels decision on any extension of check out time is final. Extra charges may apply for any extension to check out time at the discretion of the hotel.

Car Park Policy

Car parking is available for $ 15 and can be reserved when booking is made or by contacting the hotel. We offer onsite and offsite valet parking facilities and onsite carparking is on first come first serve basis. Please advise if you have an oversized vehicle.

Pet Policy

The Langlands do not allow pets onsite including the hotel carpark except for assistance animals. Guests are liable for any fines incurred for leaving animals in cars. If found to have a pet onsite guests will be asked to leave, and the hotel cancellation policy will apply. 

Smoking Policy

The Langlands hotel is a smoke – free property. Any guest found smoking in the room would incur additional cleaning fee and the guests will be asked to leave, and the hotel cancellation policy will apply. 

EV Charging Station

An EV charging station is available for inhouse guests and it’s the responsibility of the guest to have the required charging cables and applicable adapters to fit their own car.  

User Information

By using this website to make a reservation you consent to receive emails about your booking. This will include a Booking Confirmation email, pre-arrival emails and a post-stay email.

Errors and Omissions

Any reservation made on The Langlands Hotel online booking website is made at your own risk. As you are entering information directly into the Hotel reservations system, all information entered by you will be assumed to be correct and final. Any errors or omissions will be the responsibility of the person entering any information into our online system. The Langlands Hotel will not be held responsible, nor will accept any financial liability for any errors or omissions in the information provided.
